If you fancy a day out with the family then you should check out the Edinburgh Council Environment Day which is being run on Thursday 15th July 2010. Take the gang to the Cramond Promenade (Edinburgh) and join in the fun from 10:30am until 3pm.
The Environment Day celebrations will features a host of guests including, policemen, firemen, coast guards and country rangers. There will also be representatives from the Council’s Environmental Warden department, who will have a selection of promotional products, promotional literature and promotional merchandise to hand out. Events on the day will include many fun family activities, such as face painting, bike riding tips and Roman fort touring.
The purpose of the day is obviously to highlight environmental issues within the local community and in particular to get people to become more responsible for and aware of, issues such as graffiti, fly tipping and dog fouling.
